Nightmare

When you walk into this "Nightmare" didn't you wondered why this blog got this name? This is the story behind the name "Nightmare"

When our academic year started in 2016, we were given a timetable for lectures. There was a subject name "Personal Progress and Development" which we later called PPD. We were all curious what it is all about but everyone's perception was that this is yet another boring lecture or a "Nightmare".

When the days passed, we understood that PPD is not the "Nightmare" but our future without this lessons is the real "Nightmare".

When we go to the society, what matters most is how we deal with other people. Especially at the workplace scenario. In there, we have peers, heads and people who are bellow us in our workplace hierarchy. We should know how to behave according to the situation. Sometimes we may be put into a team to achieve some common goal. Then we should know how to be a team-player, how to listen to others, how to express our self in a understandable manner, how to be creative.. so on and so for.
That is where all the experience we gain through doing PPD comes in handy for us. It teaches us all those soft skills which we cannot learn through our academics in a much more attractive manner than a normal boring lecture because it engages practical fun-filled activities such as blindfold submarine, preparing egg-shell, creating new culture etc.

Put aside what we learn; it is a subject which didn't put us through any hectic syllabus. It makes us enjoy our university life in a different manner. Some may say that we could use that time for something academic, but in my opinions there were times we enjoyed the lecture and laugh even thinking about it later. One incident I remembered just now, and believe me I am having a smile even while typing this. Can you remember the "Borland" Culture? :-D

Anyway, if I sum up my "Deep thought", PPD is not a "Nightmare" but a "Day Dream" if you know how to make it a one...
